Bio
- Susan Van der Eb Greene graduated from Wellesley College with a degree in Chemistry. She did research in both university and industrial laboratories as a liquid chromatographer. After early retirement in 2001 Susan studied sculpture at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). Currently she carves, sculpts, and makes fine furniture, while keeping her hand in the sciences through tutoring and lecturing.
Statement
- Susan Van der Eb Greene's formal training as a research chemist has provided the foundation for her abstract sculptural style. Her work explores mathematical patterns, topological surfaces and fractals, which are fundamental in nature.
