History
- Founded in 2006 by Sara Clark, Sue Greene, Chuck Henry and Dan Pearce to address the ability of art and science/technology to inform each other. Named shortly later by Tarynn Witten to reflect the mathematical notion that high order complex systems reveal more than the sum of their base components would seem to indicate. This name reflects our belief that unexpected insight will be attained through practicing both art and science. This requires more than simply collaborating from the safety of our separate disciplines.
